My new daughter "Alex"

Who would think that in one week things could change so much for my 13 year old Ali.
June 16th she was given her lovely braces :) then on the 19th she had four of her teeth removed. (that was a hard week for her)
June 24th comes and Ali decides its time to get her hair cut, now she has been asking for about a year to get it cut I just could do it. Ali has for most of her life had long hair only one year when she was six did she have about shoulder length hair.
Now with all of these changes we decided that it is time to call her, Alex. She no longer looks like my Ali. She looks so grown up :( Why do children have to grow up so fast? Its seem like just a year ago I was watching her learning to walk!

She donated her hair to Locks of Love.

Took a picnic to the park. Craig and Lisa (a.k.a. dad and mom)

The best seat in the park! We (the girls and I) had a blast on this seat, laughing the whole time. Ali took time to videotape my turn on the seat ( I will not be posting it, but it is funny :-)

OK the girls had a blast posing as trees. They are trying to stand still so the squirrels to come out to them. They had s'mores in their hands.

VBS at PC3

This year our church, like so many others, had the theme "Crocodile Dock". This was the group Ali assisted with. We had a over 300 kids each day and over 100 volunteers. At the end I think we had 500 in all :) WOW!!!

Each year we raise money for a missionary. This year was for Ms Crane in Africa. Which ever character group that raises the most get to throw pies:) Our group won with over $2,000 with the other group we surpassed our weeks goal of $3,000. Way to go PC3!!!!

Each group had three pies, PreK-5th grade. Now that's a lot of pie.

This was my fabulous group of 5th graders. I had the best helper, Lorin!!

Falls Park

A family picnic at Falls Park :) the kids and I love it there. If you ask McK which park she wants to go to she says, "Falls Park, please." Large, quiet, and lots of things to do here. Fishing, walking trails, playing on the play ground, and my favorite, EATING :) yum, picnic!!
